This is a very interesting subject and I hope that the trend spreads to all third world countries and home. In Nigeria, where over 150 million people are poor and struggling , a school has incorporated in the school curriculum the lesson of not only washing your hands but also , "the critical moments that matter," to wash hands. This issue was important enough that UNICEF funded the project to educate and provide clean water, sanitation and hygiene.

KATSINA STATE, Nigeria, 30 July 2012 – Nigeria has a vast coastline and river tributaries that irrigate the south, yet insufficient access to clean water contributes to millions of deaths every year. One in seven children will die in Nigeria before they reach the age of 5, many of them from waterborne illnesses.
